Volunteer Opportunities
There are lots of ways to volunteer with Red Hook Responds. Some of the recurring volunteer opportunities include:
Food Prep with Chef Leslie | Mondays: Help Chef Leslie in the kitchen with food prep & cleaning.
Meal Assembly | Mon-Tues-Thurs: Serve chef-made ingredients into to-go containers for our meal recipients.
Meal Server | Mon-Wed-Fri: Bag up meals for recipients and hand them off to meal delivery drivers.
Meal Driver | Mon-Wed-Fri: Deliver meals to recipient homes in Red Hook, Rhinebeck, or Tivoli.
Bread Runner | Mondays: Help collect our weekly bread donation from the Bread Alone facility in Kingston.
Backpack Program Box Packing | Once a Month: Pack boxes of non-perishable food items to be distributed to families in need in the Red Hook School District.
Backpack Program Box Delivery | Once a Month: Deliver boxes of non-perishable food items to families in need in the Red Hook School District.
Pizza Driver | Every other Monday: Pick-up our pizza order from CJ’s Pizza and bring it to the Elks Lodge for Meal Assembly.
Regional Food Bank (RFB) Pick-Up | Every other Tuesday: Help pick up our latest order from the Food Bank from the Kingston Plaza Hannaford.
