Thank you so much for choosing to support Red Hook Responds (RHR) in celebration of our 75th birthdays and 50th anniversary! We’ve been volunteers with RHR since the COVID pandemic prompted its creation in early 2020. Hundreds of volunteers are supporting neighbors in need in Red Hook and nearby towns every week. We prepare and deliver over 12,000 healthy meals a year; distribute pantry bags; pick up groceries and prescriptions; help homebound folks feel connected through Neighborly Chats; and, since last year, one of us (Amy) has been honored to sit on its board.
In an ideal world, food would be a human right. Until that day comes, RHR is here to support our community to ensure no one goes hungry. Since these services are available at no cost, donations are the lifeline for this crucial support.
